Frances Coraline Gerard

Frances Gerard, 91, of Estes Park, died on September 9, 2014. Frances C. Christian was born on January 13, 1923 in Victor, Iowa to parents William and Gertrude (Mariman) Christian. She married Glen E. Gerard on April 23, 1946 in Victor, IA. Frances and Glen owned and operated a bakery in Brooklyn, IA before moving to Estes Park in 1974. Frances and Glen owned and operated Gerard’s bakery in Estes Park thru 1982, when the business was sold. Fran continued working as a waitress for Nicky’s and The Other Side Restaurant until she retired at the age of 83years old. She was a devout member of Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Frances is survived by her son J.J. (Terri) Gerard of Fort Collins, CO; 5 grandchildren Jeff, Brandon, David, Christina, Heather; and 5great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Bill, a brother and 1 sister. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, September 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church with a visitation at Allnutt Funeral Chapel Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM.
