Francisco Javier Ortiz

Francisco Javier Ortiz, 31, of Evans, passed away January 10, 2016 at Hospice of Northern Colorado. Francisco was born November 28, 1984 in Juarez, Mexico to Ramon and Maria (Juarez) Ortiz. He was raised in Greeley and graduated from Northridge High School in 2004. Francisco received his degree in mechanics from University Technical Institute in Phoenix.

Francisco married Rosa Arellano on August 18, 2010 in Greeley. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Platteville.

Francisco began working as a crew foreman for Schneider in 2010 which later became Affirm Oil Field Services where he worked as a Supervisor. He was a graffiti artist and enjoyed drawing and break dancing.

He is survived by his wife Rosa of Evans; a daughter Emma Raquel Ortiz of Evans; a son Ian Ramon Ortiz of Evans; parents Ramon and Maria; a sister Rita (Izzy) Portillo of Greeley and a brother Luis (Tammie) Ortiz of Greeley; nieces Perla, Anisa, Valeria, Savannah, Laisha, Mia, Vianey and nephews Dariel, Luis Jr. and Moises. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Pablo Juarez.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2016 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Platteville. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
