

Frank lived in Oklahoma City until his early teen years, when the family moved to Omaha, Nebraska. On July 28, 1951 he married Bernadean Corla Winter in Sioux City, Iowa. She died on July 15, 2006. After their marriage, they lived in Omaha. He managed a One Hour Martinizing Cleaning business in Omaha. Frank was known as Don Chico and had an orchestra called the Don Chico Combo that played at the Copacabana in Omaha.
The family moved to Greeley on Christmas Eve of 1967. They bought Campus One Hour Cleaners, on 16th Street, and operated it until the sold the business in April 1996. He received the Business Man of the Year Award in 1993, when he was 70 years old. He also played guitar at the Fort Collins Holiday Inn at the John Q’s Room for over ten years with the Eddie Miller Duo. During their retirement they took vacations and did a little sightseeing.
Frank was reared in the Catholic faith.

Frank is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Cross of Carr and Victoria Turner of Evans; son, Frank Gomez, Jr. of Greeley; brothers, Trinity Gomez and Robert Gomez both of Omaha; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, a daughter, Barbara June Ensminger, who died in 1998, and two sisters, Carmen Torres and Eva Deloa.
A visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
