

Friedhold was reared and educated in Germany coming to the United States in July 1952. He settled in Windsor, working on farms and then the Great Western Sugar Factory in Greeley. Friedhold later worked for Monfort of Colorado, School District 6 as a custodian, and then returned to the sugar factory. He retired from the sugar factory in August 1996.
On May 18, 1967, Fritz married Lavone Holm in Greeley. She died on July 14, 1986. He married Ruth Hays on September 10, 1988 in Greeley. She died on March 27, 2007.
Friedhold loved attending auctions. He loved to build all kinds of things, tinker, and could fix almost anything. He enjoyed his vegetable garden and fruit trees. He was very family oriented and loved spending time with them.
He is survived by his step-daughters, Loretta Wolfe (Loyd) of Ketchikan, Alaska, Donita Nichols of Milliken and Lois Yriate (Joe), Ethel Beckey and Cinda Sloan (Steve) all of Greeley; step-son, Lyle Holm of Roggen; sister, Elfriede Robinson of Maryville, Tennessee; three brothers, Alfred Goehring (Susan) of Canby, Oregon, Herman Goehring (Juanita) of Ness, South Carolina and Erwin Goehring (Monica) of Melbourne, Florida; 21 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two step-daughters, Martha Shuler and Anna Owens and a step-sister, Klara (Lang) Buchholz.
Visitation will be from 2:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 24, 2015 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
