George Raymond Kline

Ray was born August 17, 1947 in Kittanning, PA to Wendell Woodrow and Dora Mae (Meyers) Kline. He married Veronica “Ronnie” Tyler on April 17, 1970 in Arlington, VA.

He graduated from Kiski Area High School in Vandergrift, PA, in 1965 and went on to attend many classes at Long Beach City College in Long Beach, CA. Ray lived in Long Beach and Lakewood, CA, Longmont, CO and then Johnstown, CO.

Ray spent 9 years in the US Navy. He was a very proud Vietnam veteran. He also served on the USS Gurke and at the Pentagon in Washington, DC, where he met his wife Ronnie. He worked for 25 years in the Port of Long Beach and LA harbors. He greatly loved his job and the people that he worked with.

Ray loved his family, children and his grandchildren so much so that he fought his health issues long and hard in order to be there for them. He loved sharing sports with his family, especially baseball, football, and wrestling.

Ray is survived by his wife of 50 years Ronnie; sons Mark (Alicia) Kline and Christopher (Pamela) Kline; daughter Kimberly (Bill) Miller; grandchildren Ashlee, Breeanna (Salvatore Bruno), and Nicolas Kline, Ross and Rhiannon Miller, and Kane and Riley Kline. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of his life will be held in California in the spring.
