He attended Lubbock High School in Texas, earning his GED in 2001.
Fernando loved camping. His liked to say “You can get anything you want as long as it’s under 50 cents.”
He is survived by his sons, Orlando Bastardo and Fernando Bastardo Jr.; daughters Priscela Gilroy, Martha Linda Bastardo, Shazzarah Moyer, and Dazzery Kelso; brothers Jose and Mario Bastardo; sisters Delores Gutierrez and Alice Prieto; and many grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, June 24, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow at the La Salle Train Depot, 101 Todd Avenue, La Salle, CO at noon.
