

Harry Milton Bell, (85) of Fort Collins passed away Friday the 13th of October. Harry was born 8/31/32 in Pontiac, Michigan to Harry Bell and Jessie (Simmons) Bell. He married Maxine (Godfrey) in 1956. They recently celebrated their 61st anniversary. Harry retired from IBM after 35 years and was transferred many times living in Kentucky, Colorado, California and Florida. He was a journeyman electrician for General Motors prior to IBM. Harry served in the US Army from 1951-1954 and during that time spent a year fighting in the Korean Conflict.
Harry loved to golf, bowl and spent many years riding his motorcycle across the country and Canada with Maxine and friends. Harry was excited to have bowled a 300 game and appeared on the TV bowling show Beat the Champ. Harry always had a joke to tell and many one liners that kept everyone laughing. He was always happy to help friends and neighbors with whatever electrical and plumbing needs arose.
Harry is survived by his wife Maxine H (Godfrey) Bell, sons Kevin Bell (Susi) of Stamping Ground KY, Kraig Bell (Vicki) of Cub Run KY and daughter Denise Haines (Ron) of Bellvue CO. Grandchildren Austin Bell, Nicholas Bell, Mitchell Bell, Kaitlin Haines, Jessica Pruss and Sean Haines. He is preceded in death by his parents and four siblings Zelda, Mary, Cletus and Wendall.
Cremation has taken place. Military Honor Service will be held Monday October 23, 2017 at 11:30 AM at Fort Logan National Cemetery. The family would like to thank Pathways Hospice and The Centre Health & Rehab for their care of Harry in his last few weeks.
