Henry left home when he was 13 and rode the railways in the northwest and did ranching in Montana. When he turned 18, he enlisted in the Marines, which was at the end of WWII. While in the service, he met and married Jean Brown. Together they had two daughters, Pam and Nancy. While living in Denver, he worked at Gates, Denver Iron Works, Bert's Chevrolet and ran several service stations. He then decided to go back to farming. He rented at first, then bought land in Weld County near Kersey. He has farmed ever since. He was hardworking, loved his family and made friends with anyone and everyone. He loved fishing and took every opportunity to do so. He was known as Tpa by his great grandkids.
Henry is survived by his daughter, Pam (Bob) Lajeunesse and brother, John (Pam) Miller; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Henry was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Miller, parents, Mitchell and Mary Miller, daughter, Nancy and son-in-law, Larry Uhrich, sister, Mary Anderson and brother, Ray Miller.
A public visitation will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. Liturgical Service in Henry’s honor will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023 starting at 1:00 P.M. at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment will be at a later date at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave., Denver, CO.
