

Hope Marie Keyser, 92, went home to Heaven on June 11, 2016 at Bonell Good Samaritan Center. She was born at home on June 4, 1924 in Red Willow County, NE, to John A. and Amanda R. (Alexander) Dinnel.
Her early years were spent around the Imperial and Champion areas where her family had moved frequently. She graduated from Imperial High School in 1943, then received her teaching certificate and taught in a small rural Chase County School. She married the love of her life, Eldon L. Keyser, December 20, 1944, in Benkelman, NE.
Shortly thereafter, they moved to rural La Salle, CO, where they farmed with Eldon’s father and raised their family. In 1969 they moved to Greeley where they eventually retired.
Hope was a wonderful homemaker. She loved to sew and was a seamstress for the JV Smith Dept. Store. She spent many years cleaning houses, their church and new construction homes for her brother-in-law, John R. Keyser.
She loved to entertain and her delicious meals were enjoyed by a large extended family, many friends and neighbors. Other activities included Cub Scouts, PTA, Sunday School Teacher, Church Women’s Fellowship at La Salle First Baptist Church and also Bethel Baptist Church where she served as President and was involved in many service projects as well as making baby quilts for the Pregnancy Resource Center.
Hope was a Godly woman and passionate about her love for the Lord, her family, and helping others. When there was a need, she was there with an open servant’s heart. She encouraged many people with cards, notes and phone calls and spread her joy everywhere she went.
Hope is survived by her children John LeRoy (Sharon) of Greeley, Kathleen (Ted) Hamlet of Greeley, Philip of Papillion, NE, and Duane (Julie) of Loveland; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law Darlene Monroe; brother-in-law John R. Keyser, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Eldon; brothers Harold, Donald, Dorsey, Dwight, and Dale; sister Wanda; and daughter-in-law Judy.
A viewing will be held at 9:30 A.M. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel followed by a Memorial Services starting at 10:30 A.M. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens followed by a reception at Grace Church, 6400 20th St., Greeley.
