

Irene was reared and educated in the Kersey area where her family farmed. She graduated from Kersey High School in 1953. In 1954, she married her high school sweetheart, Theodore E. Schissler. They later divorced. She later married Jack D. Eldridge. They lived in the Lucerne area. They later divorced. She worked as a cashier at the Hillside Safeway in Greeley. She later worked in customer service at Greeley National Bank, which later became Chase National Bank. She also was a Mary Kay consultant for many years.
Irene was confirmed at St. Paul’s Congregational Church where she was a member for many years.
Irene enjoyed fishing with her son, Duane, playing cribbage with her brother and riding horses.
Irene was very family oriented and loved holidays with them.
Irene is survived by her sons, Tim Schissler of Huddleston, Virginia and Duane Schissler of Milliken; brother, Lester A. Stroh of Greeley and his daughters, Terry Stroh and Susan Reinick and two grandsons, Jeremy Schissler of Huddleston and Skyler Schissler of Greeley. She is also survived by her faithful dog, “Lulu” and her cat, “Sheba”.
A Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at St. Paul’s Congregational Church, 1525 43rd Avenue, Greeley, Colorado.
