Janice Jeannine Thorbjornson, 83 of Eaton, passed away peacefully at home on December 22, 2020. Janice was a country girl from Goodland, Kansas born to Raymond and Pearl Hilborn. She married her first husband who was in the Air Force. She raised four children while moving around the world from one military assignment to another. Her second husband was a wonderful man with a huge heart and turned out to be the man of her dreams. He was a Square Dance caller. They traveled from one dance to another for years. Their whole marriage was a honeymoon.
She was a loving, strong and very determined person who would reach her goal regardless of the difficulties that she came up against. She was the most awesomest mom.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard, her son Michael Rice and her granddaughter, Jessica Seery.
She is survived by her son Mark Rice and his wife Susan, daughter in law Tammy Rice, daughter Tracy Hall and husband (Keith), Marlena Derr and husband (Gary) and step son Larry Thorbjornson, brothers John, Errol and Raymond Hilborn and sister Elaine Gollobith. She is also survived by her grandchildren Justin, Travis, Christopher, Alex, Brianna, Cory and Kyle.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, CO 80634.
Private services are to be held. Committal service 2:15 P.M., Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the Eaton Cemetery.
