Jerry was born March 11, 1959, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his father, Hipolito Henry Griego “June” and his grandchild, Marley. He is survived by his loving wife Dede Griego; his daughter, Genoveva Griego; son Jerry Griego Jr.; and his cherished grandchildren, Madeline Davey, Maison, Micah, Melody, and Milo; his mother, Frances Griego (Romo); his sister, Becky Swanson (Steve), nephews Isaac and Justin and extended family of uncles, cousins, friends and loved ones.
From an early age, Jerry was known for his strong work ethic and unwavering determination. He took great pride in providing for his family and placed them above all else. His love was steady and dependable, evident not only in life’s milestones but also in the quiet, everyday acts of care that reflected his character.
Jerry was the kind of man who always seemed to have the answer. If something was broken, he could fix it; if someone needed guidance, he offered thoughtful wisdom. He had a natural understanding of how things worked and an even greater gift for making them better.
He found joy in life’s simple pleasures. A lifelong coin collector, Jerry proudly shared his passion with his daughter, Genoveva, creating memories that will be treasured. He also had a remarkable green thumb and tended his garden with patience and pride. He spent his final days caring for his mom and enjoying their tender moments together.
