John "David" Chavez

John “David” Chavez of Greeley died Thursday, September 15, 2011 at his mother’s home. He was born August 16, 1973 in Plainview, Texas. His parents are Luis and Maria (Tapia) Chavez. He was raised in Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico.

David loved to paint with airbrush, and make customized mirrors, he was an auto body man, welder, diesel mechanic and tire shop owner. He was a great cook and loved to B-B-Q.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Rivera; daughters, Christina Chavez and Caroline E. Chavez; stepdaughter Bethanie Rivera; sons, Juan Luis Chavez, Joshua Chavez and Troy Chavez; stepson, Matthias Rivera; granddaughter, Anahi Chavez; his parents, Luis and Maria Chavez; sisters Gina Chavez and Jeannette Chavez; brothers, Gilbert Chavez and Joe Chavez; nieces and nephews, Enrique , Rachel, Maria, Elijah, Diana, Daniela, Alania, Louyse, Giovanna, Adrian, Victoria, Esias, Dolores and Jonathan. He was preceded in death by Jermayn “Gino” Chavez and Elisabeth O. Gandara.

There will be a benefit to financially help support the family, from 6 p.m. until Midnight, on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Lucky Queens.

Visitation 2-7 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Funeral Service
