On July 12, 1954, he married the love of his life, Mary Del Chiquito, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Greeley. Together, they built a strong and loving family, raising seven children and sharing 71 years of marriage.
John will be remembered for his playful spirit and wonderful sense of humor. A true prankster, he brought joy and laughter to those around him. He was friendly, warm, and welcoming—someone who made everyone feel special. Always smiling and easy-going, John was a “child at heart” who embraced life fully.
A man of deep faith, John enjoyed traveling, with a special fondness for his trip to Washington, D.C. He also loved spending time playing checkers, dominos, and bingo, and enjoyed trips to the casinos. A self-taught musician, John had a lifelong passion for music and spent many years playing the accordion in his band. He and his wife Mary were also proud owners of the Sipres Night Club, where he was well known and respected by customers and friends alike.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo and Prajedes Sipres, and his daughter, Yolanda Sipres.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Sipres; his children, Eva Sipres Serenil, John Abel Sipres, Martha Griego (Patrick), Andrew Sipres, Michael Sipres (Marivel), and Robert Sipres (Kimberly); as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will carry on his legacy of love and laughter.
