

Born in Denver, CO, Judy grew up in Brighton, CO and later attended the University of Wyoming where she received her bachelor degree in education and spent several years teaching English and Literature. She later attended the University of Northern Colorado where she received her Master’s degree in counseling, and worked as a high school counselor for several years in Fort Morgan and Weld Central high schools, and in Lusk, Wyoming.
Judy and her husband, Bob, first met in Fort Morgan in 1974 and were married in 1976. Judy and Bob and her young son, Jason, then moved to Tucson, AZ where Judy worked full-time for the Arizona Department of Revenue while going back to school at the University of Arizona to receive her bachelor’s degree in accounting. The family then returned to Fort Collins in 1982 where Judy attended Colorado State University receiving her Master’s degree in accounting. Judy then passed the required examinations to receive her Certified Public Accountant degree, and established her own accounting firm at which she worked until her death.
Judy enjoyed the mountains, skiing, reading and traveling all over the world. While at the University of Wyoming, Judy was fortunate in being able to attend one semester with Semester at Sea traveling completely around the world on a ship studying and visiting many countries.
Judy is survived by her husband, Bob; son and daughter-in-law Jason and Jolene Whitley of Casper, Wyoming; and 3 grandsons, Tyler, Eric, and Ryan all of whom she dearly loved. She also has a sister, Marilyn Todd, and brother, Charles Eiland, both of Brighton, CO, and a niece, Michelle Long of Denver, CO. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Elise Eiland also of Brighton.
Judy will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services are planned for Friday, July 28th at Allnutt Funeral Chapel, 650 West Drake, Fort Collins, beginning at 10 AM immediately followed by interment in Grandview Cemetery. Visitation hours will be from 6-9 PM on Thursday evening, July 27th.
Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Allnutt Funeral Services of Fort Collins.
Bob and her son, Jason, wish to particularly thank the wonderful folks at Poudre Valley Hospital for the loving care they provided to Judy in her final moments here on Earth.
