He farmed in Severance, Windsor and Eaton, was active in 4H as a young man, even winning 1st Place for his Sugar Beets. He played accordion for a local Polka Band in his younger years, and kept the heritage of Polka dancing alive into his 80's.
An avid fisherman, Julius enjoyed the Colorado outdoors his entire life. He was an active member of his church, First Assembly of God in Greeley, where he ushered for several years. He truly enjoyed his church family.
He married Juanita Robertson of Fort Collins on August 11, 1957; they were married for 42 years until her death in February 1999.
He worked at Holnam Cement Plant (Holcim/LaFarge) for 38 years until he retired in 1996.
Julius is survived by 4 children, Ronald Lauck of Windsor, Gerald Lauck of Severance, Nancy Vermilyea of Eaton, and David Lauck of Denver, Co, 3 grandchildren Andrea Vermilyea of Eaton, Laura Vermilyea of Greeley, and Julia Vermilyea of Greeley, CO, and 2 younger sisters of Bonifay, Florida, Eileen (Lauck) Wright, and Carolyn (Lauck).
Services will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at First Assembly of God Church, followed by the committal service at Grandview Cemetery in Fort Collins at 1:00 P.M.
