Chasing space aliens and spirits. I guess Justin has started on the next journey, pursuing the realm of the unknown - he always understood the forces of life, the energy of our bodies, which we could not see. He knew he would be part of it all someday. For all of those who loved him, it just came too soon.
Justin Thomas Giggy, 30, of Longmont, passed away, November 7,
2015 at his home.
He was born August 4, 1985 in Aurora, Colorado, son of Tom (wife Mary) Giggy and Linda (husband Casper) Crowell. Justin came into this world on time, celebrating his Tante Donna’s 28th birthday. Grandparents Momma and Dadda were leaving for Norway the very next morning. He made a grand entrance. From the start, even as a child, Justin displayed a strong moral character. It defined his actions regarding family and friends when growing up in the surrounding suburbs of Metro Denver. A beautiful baby boy, who quietly laid down to sleep as long as he had all of his seven “bob-bees’ surrounding his head. A gifted child who loved baseball, skating and snowboarding.
Justin attended school in Lakewood Colorado, beginning in Dean Elementary, then to O’Connell Middle and went on to graduate in 2003 from Alameda High School in Lakewood, Colorado. Justin was a great athlete and a very hard worker. Any employer that hired him would always rehire him given the chance. It was because of his strong work ethic, dependability, flexibility and great patience.
Justin met the love of his life, Ashly Renee Erickson, on October 7, 2007 and they were married June 24, 2011. Justin was lucky to realized early in his life what was really important. He chose his family, his wife, Ashly and kids, Emma Pauline Inger-Lise and Owen William Thomas over everything. They were his priority and his life.
Justin has life long friends who have many, many stories of adventures, mishaps and broken hearts, and they will hopefully share all these stories with his children, Emma and Owen.
Justin loved spending time with all his family, Dads and Moms, Tom & Mary, Linda & Casper, Amy & Veronica and Ken & Sarah Tafoya and his grandparents James (Dada) & Inger-Lise (Mama) and Bill & Susie Dreiling. He had immense love for his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews - Jarmey (JC), Laura, Kelli & Clayton; Jennifer, Danny & Capp; James, Holly & Carter; Katie, Nikki & Blake; Kristina, Jarred, Amaya & Bryleigh; and Kaylynn, Jacqueline, Kenneth & Kane, and the lists goes on to include many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Justin was rich in love for his family, and his kind and giving spirit extended this love to his friends.
Although he was a quiet force, he had a definite mischievous side, but this son grew into a loving, giving, compassionate man, husband, father, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, son-in-law and friend. Even in hard times, his concern extended to those he loved. No matter how little he had, he would give it away to help someone in need. It was never lost on him what was important and he knew he had so much to give and share.
We all struggle to understand and accept that is was your time to go. This world has lost a kind and gentle soul, a big heart with endless love. A giving husband and an awesome dad.
Justin is survived by his wife Ashly, daughter Emma and son Owen; father Tom (Mary) Giggy of Greeley; mother Linda (Casper) Crowell of Kingsburg, CA; father in law Kenneth (Sarah) Tafoya of Fort Morgan; mother in law Amy Erickson Lopez of Lakewood; brother Jarmey (JC) (Laura) Giggy of Greeley; sister Jennifer (Danny) Thistle of Fort Morgan; brother James (Holly) Giggy of Arvada; sister Melissa (Marty) Rizo of Puyallup, WA; grandparents James and Inger-Lise Owen of Foley, AL; grandparents Bill and Susie Dreiling of Fort Morgan; aunt Kim (Donovan) Rivard of Lakewood; tante Lisa (George) Kaiser of Lakewood; tante Donna (Ron) Owen of Foley, AL; uncle Kenneth (Karen) Owen of Norfolk, VA; nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives.
