Kate Seifert, 33, of Fort Collins, passed away February 3, 2017.
She was born May 23, 1983 in Stanford, California to James Ruhl Pfiester and Jennifer McClellan Pfiester. Kate was an incredibly loving mother to her two children, Autumn and Asher. Her unmatched strength in raising her children is an inspiration to all of those around her.
Katie grew up with her two sisters Emily and Laura, and her brother William. Together with her parents and siblings, Katie lived in Austin, Texas, Corvallis, Oregon and finally Fort Collins, Colorado. Katie was much loved by her sisters and brother, creatively inventing games and performances together.
Katie had a brilliant mind, devouring books from an early age and also had a natural penchant for music and foreign languages. Her musical ability started with the piano at age seven, and by high school, she moved on to master clarinet and percussion. She had a spot-on sense of humor, and could readily quote a movie or make you laugh with a funny recollection.
Kate was a much-loved mother, daughter, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed, but remembered in the lyrics of her favorite songs and in the happiest of memories laughing together with her family and friends.
Survivors include her parents James and Jennifer Pfiester, grandparents Bill and Jane McClellan, brother William Pfiester, sisters Emily and Laura Pfiester, her two children Autumn and Asher Seifert, former husband Heath Seifert, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 10 am this Thursday, February 9th at the Fort Collins Senior Center, 1200 Raintree Drive, Fort Collins, followed by a private family burial.
For those who would like to contribute in the memory of Kate, an account has been set up to benefit her children Autumn and Asher Seifert. You may donate to the “Kathleen Ruhl Seifert Childrens Trust” in care of Allnutt Funeral Services, 650 West Drake Fort Collins, CO 80526.
