Kurt was a caring man that loved his family and being around semi-trucks.
He earned his CDL while still attending Platte Valley High School. After graduating in 1994, he went to work driving semis. He did this for several years and loved it, but he was ready for a change. He became one of the best heavy-duty mechanics in the area. He later started his own shop and was able to do what he loved on his own.
Kurt loved his family and being surrounded by them, especially his nieces and their children. Being around them and the rest of his family made his heart soar. You could find him at almost every family gathering. Though he seemed like a quiet man, his family and friends knew otherwise- a happy, funny person that always had something to talk about. He loved small talk. If he didn’t have anything to say, he was a great listener and he truly cared about what was being shared with him.
To know and be loved by Kurt was truly a privilege. He touched countless lives and will be deeply missed.
Kurt is preceded in death by his mother Vicky Klein; paternal grandparents, Louis and Josephine Klein; maternal grandparents Robert Weimer and Jean Davis; as well as several aunts and uncles.
Kurt is survived by his father, Dennis Klein; brother, Jason (Toni) Klein; nieces, Courtney (Ray) Smith and Brittany (Max) Fox; great nieces, Kamryn and Kaydence Smith; and great nephew Bentlee Fox.
A memorial service will be held on March 4, 2026, at Allnutt Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Big Dogs Huge Paws Rescue in memory of Kurt, honoring his love for his dog, Cricket, and his lifelong compassion for all dogs.
