
Linda was raised at the family home in Johnstown, Colorado, where she graduated from Roosevelt High School as part of the Class of 1969. Linda was a member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, and went through all the Stations of that organization. She was active in the RHS Pep Club, and was the Student Body Treasurer during her Senior year.
After high school, Linda went to work at the First National Bank in Windsor as a teller. She then moved to Sheridan Savings and Loan where she was the Assistant Branch Manager. In June of 1976, she had a daughter, Michelle, and in February of 1979, she had a son, Mikel. Linda moved to Greeley in 1992, and in June of 1993 she found employment with Weld Schools Credit Union, where she was a dedicated employee until the time of her death.
Linda was a very accomplished seamstress and took pride in the many things she made. She made her wedding dress, sportswear, special occasion outfits, Cabbage Patch doll clothing, and sewed various stuffed animals and dolls for a specialty shop in Estes Park for many years. Linda enjoyed painting, ceramics, leathercraft, aerobics, tap dancing, and many other crafts. She was a member of the Red Hat Society for several years as well. Linda was always working on her yard and enjoyed planting flowers and vegetables every year. She was especially fond of her two Miniature Pinscher dogs, Missy and Clover, and loved and cared for them for many years.
Linda is survived by her two children, Michelle (Mark) Nelson of Haswell, CO, and Mikel (Jessica) Wagner of Dacono, CO; her grandchildren: Emily, Alexa, Clayton, and Cole; her sister, Elizabeth Ann Milner of El Paso, Texas; as well as several great aunts, cousins, and other relatives.
