She was born on January 27, 1933 in Johnstown, Colorado to John and Mary Wilsonoff, later changed to Wilson. She married Ellis Henry Luther in January of 1953 on a farm on Godfrey Bottom where they lived for 47 years.
Lois was known for her oat-meal raisin cookies, pies, krautburgers, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and her infamous brownies!
She loved her dogs: Ben, Hoss and Joe. She also enjoyed working in her yard and attending to her garden and acre of gladiolas. Lois loved going to the Flatlanders, Road Knights, Coloradans and Antics car shows where she'll be missed by her car show families; especially her "boyfriend" Collin. She was also a mom to all. Lois loved helping Robert cut out all the material for his upholstery business and was always wondering what meal Sheryl was making her. Lois absolutely loved to eat!
Lois' face lit up whenever her great grandkids came around and hugged her. She will be missed by the family that she leaves behind.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Sheryl); granddaughters, Shirley, Phyllis (Ed); great-granddaughters, Nicole (Izarel), Loni (De'Ray), Aliz'a, Aariya, Gianna, Elianna, Aubrie; great-grandsons, Mario, Amador (Christina), Dominic, Izarel, Iziah, Izaac, Ixavior; as well as three nieces, one nephew, and one great nephew.
She is preceded in death by her husband; son, Donald; parents; and twin sisters, Myrna (Paul) and Norma (Perry).
A special thanks goes out to all the Hospice Staff that helped her through the last year, especially Greg, Jeff, Alan, Kara, Emily and Shayla.
Honorary pallbearers are Izarel Mendoza, Izarel Jr. Mendoza, Izaac Mendoza, Marty Vigil, Mario Antuna, Mike Fortunato and Dominic Gonzales.
A graveside service for Lois will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 W 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634.
