Lorraine Adams

She was born on November 4, 1926 in Kansas to Marshall and Augusta (Kendall) Barnhart. Lorraine married Max Adams on January 19, 1943 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. They spent 70 years together before Max passed away on December 24, 2013.

In 1976, Max and Lorraine moved to Platteville where they spent the rest of their lives. She worked as an electronic tester for the AT&T phone company for many years. She enjoyed crocheting and going on outings with Max. She was also a collector of cardinals, and loved displaying them around their home.

Lorraine is survived by two grandsons, Jim Stills (Sherl) and Ron McGraw (Becky); a brother, Bill Barnhart; daughter, Donna Jerger; granddaughter, Christine Evans (Rusty); great-grandchildren, Adam McGraw, Austin Felice, Jessica Hanvey, Jackie Howard, Amanda Jenson, Nicole Power, Trevor Evans, Savanna Evans; and 8 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Augusta Barnhart; husband, Max Adams; brother, Burrell Barnhart; and her daughter, Norma Adams.

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 9:00 a.m., followed by a celebration of life at 10:00 a.m., both at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th Street; Greeley, CO 80634. Lorraine will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley.
