

Lupe was a Fort Lupton High School graduate, class of 1955, growing up in Ione, then she resided in Platteville most of her life. She was an employee at IBM in Boulder, and also was a dedicated employee at the Weld County Court House and held an administrative position. Lupe moved to Evans, Colorado 25 years ago and served her community well as she did a lot of community outreach. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, grandma great and friend. She was known as “Mama Lu” to everyone and she cherished her family more than anything. She was her grandchildren’s biggest cheerleader, never missing a sporting event or game.
Lupe loved the Colorado Rockies and attended as many games as possible, she loved baseball in general. Her hobbies included playing softball in her younger years, earning her the nickname “Brooks”, and caring for her family and others
She is survived by her son, Dean (Maribel) Castro, of Milliken, her daughters, Juanita (Scott) Carter, of Maricopa, AZ, and Crystal (Regan) Noblett, of Platteville, grandchildren, Bryan Carter, Brittney (Marshall) Berger, Laura (Andy) Mulder, Kyle (Tara) Castro, Mia Castro, Noah Castro and Lee (Julie) Dill, great-grandchildren, Carter Berger, Jacob Berger, Ella Berger, Taye Dill, Cameron Dill, Braxton Mulder, Lync Mulder and Drax Mulder, brothers, Joe Mora, of Brighton, and Patrick (Vicki) Mora, of Fort Morgan, sisters, Virginia Chacon, of Greeley, Annie Negrete, of Denver, Lora (David) Flores, of Greeley, and Margaret Marquez, of Denver, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Fay, brother, Ray Mora, and sisters, Irene Sena, Mary Chacon and Mary Ellen Montoya.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023 at Allnutt Funeral Service - Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
