Lyle Howard Whitman

Lyle was born on June, 4, 1940 to Ben and Mary Whitman (Bruntz) in Gering, Nebraska. His family moved to Colorado in 1947.

He was an Avid Farmer for most of his life, and had a passion for Case Tractors; some would dang near call it an obsession, when he talked about them. Lyle served in the US Army from 1963 to 1965. Lyle met the love of his life; Elaine, during an outing to lakeside Amusement Park in Denver. They got married in 1965. Lyle was first and foremost a family man. He would do anything for his family. His children meant the world to him; he would talk your ear off telling you about them.

He had various hobbies through the years, but later in life he took it as his personal mission to make sure all the squirrels that came into his yard were very well fed.

Lyle is preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Whitman; his Daughter Patricia Davis; his Parents, Ben and Mary Whitman; his Siblings, Patricia Whitman, Malcom Whitman, and Bruce Whitman. He is survived by his Siblings, Alvin Whitman, and Rick Whitman; his Children, Jolene Whitman, and Dean Whitman, his Son-in-Law Brett Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held on November 29, 2023 at Allnutt Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at Allnutt Macy Chapel.
