Marie H. Galloway

Marie was born in Eaton, CO, on December 7, 1919, the daughter of Joe F. and Jennie Haythorn. She was raised on a farm west of Eaton and graduated from Eaton High School. She attended the Colorado Teachers College (UNC) where she was a member of Theta Sigma Epsilon Sorority. She also attended Park School of Business in Pittsburg, PA. Upon graduation she returned to Eaton and started work at The Eaton Bank, and later worked for the Happel Insurance Agency. She was a life-time member of EADO, the Eaton Historical Society, Music Club, and was the Treasurer of the Women’s Auxiliary at North Colorado Medical Center as well as a volunteer in the gift shop.

On April 25, 1943 she married T. Wesley Galloway of Greeley. They moved to Eaton as Wes was employed by Longley’s Grocery Store. They later moved to a farm west of Eaton and raised three daughters; Judi Aylsworth (Ted) of Northglenn, Sue Skaley (Ron) of Greeley and Janey Blehm (Terry) of Golden. She is also survived by grandchildren Jeramy Snidow of Brighton, Dawn Lambert (Stephen) of Colorado Springs, Danny Aylsworth of Northglenn, Tiffany Blehm of Littleton, Traci Lichtas (Blasé) of Ashland, NE; great-grandson, Sullivan Lichtas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marie will be remembered as the Greatest Mom, a Loving Aunt and Grandmother and a Caring Friend.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Interment will be held at the Eaton Cemetery.
