Marshall Eugene Brigner

Marshall Eugene Brigner, 60, of Kersey, Colorado went be with our Lord and his Uncle Louie (Mom’s twin brother) on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. He was born November 12, 1960 in Clare, Michigan to Gene Avery and Louise W. (McNeilly) Brigner.

Marshall grew up in Barryton, graduating from Chippewa Hills High School, Remus in 1979. After graduation, he was working full time in the dairy industry. Also a graduate of RSI Refrigeration in 2018.

Marshall was a member of the Church of God in Barryton.

In the mid-1980s, Marshall came to the Greeley area. On October 31, 2008, he married Maria Huerta in Greeley, Colorado.

Marshall loved farming, starting at a young age at his uncle, Louis McNeilly’s farm. He enjoyed football, coffee and phone conversations with family and food. The loves of his life were his wife Maria, his children, mother and father. He always wanted a big family and his dad was his best friend. Marshall was so kind throughout his life to everyone he met.

Marshall is survived by his wife, Maria Huerta; Six sons, Marshall Brigner, Jr. (Lia) of Orlando, Florida, Rory Henry (Jennifer) of Houston, Texas, Anthony Defeudis of Petoskey Michigan, Miguel Marquez of Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico and Gabriel Marquez (Maria) and Sebastian Brigner both of Kersey.

Two daughters, Michelle Polanco of Hartford, Wisconsin and America Marquez of Kersey; parents, Gene and Louise Brigner of Barryton; mother-in-law, Ciria Fortiz of Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico; three siblings, Kimberly (Mark) Clare of Harbor Springs, Michigan, Michael (Laurette) Brigner of Apache Junction, Arizona,Kamala Robinson, brother in-law Pete and special friend Tom Baumann of Barryton ; 12 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Lurena McNeilly and Russell and Katherine Brigner, Eligia Betancourt, father-in-law, Jose Huerta and niece, Hannah Brigner-Taylor.

Due to His Love of the Farm. Services for Colorado family will be held Saturday August 21, 2021 @ 5 pm
