Michael Bernhardt

Mike was raised and educated in the Gill area, and graduated from Kersey High School in 1962. He was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Greeley.

Mike worked with his dad in the trucking business and later had his own trucking and construction business. In the last few years, he was employed by Richardson Consolidated Inc.

Mike’s greatest love was spending time in Red Feather at the family cabin fishing. He loved all sports especially Nascar racing. He also enjoyed cooking.

Mike is survived by his daughter Tanya (Vince) Valdivieso of Greeley; sons Michael Scott (Janet) Bernhardt of Thornton, John Brent Bernhardt of Sterling and Gregory Joe Bernhardt of Denver; sister Judy (Wendell) Ord; grandchildren Josh, Brittney, Mackey, Kelsey, Brandon and Haelie; great grandchildren Kaidynce and Kennedy; Uncles Herman (Dorothy Jean) Peterson of Kuner and Donnie (JoAnn) Bernhardt of Imperial, Nebraska; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 31 at Stoddard Funeral Home followed by the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
