Michael Scott Helmuth

Michael Scott Helmuth, 54, of Loveland passed away on April 16, 2016. Scott was born on July 11, 1961 in Aurora, CO to Larry and Halene (Wood) Helmuth. Scott’s father passed away when he was 5 and was raised by his mother and step-father, Oliver “Smokey” Koch. He graduated from Aurora Central High School in 1979. Scott married Janice Humpert on August 2, 1990.

Scott was an Electrical Design Engineer and worked for everything from aerospace to embroidery machinery. He was a jack of all trades. Scott could rip apart an engine and put it back together…but he could also bake an apple pie from scratch. He loved car restoration, taught himself how to play the guitar, and was an avid NASCAR and Bronco’s fan.

Scott is survived by his wife, Jan Helmuth of Loveland, CO; sons Adam Helmuth, enlisted in the Air Force in Anchorage, AK and Aaron Helmuth, graduating High School in Loveland, CO; brother Brian (Stacey Helmuth of Parker, CO; and sister Kim (John) Parker of Golden, CO. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held at Allnutt Funeral Service in Loveland Wednesday, April 20, 2016, starting with a visitation from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., Funeral Service at 5:00 p.m. with a reception to follow.
