

Norman Lee Vasquez, 56, of Greeley, passed away, July 7, 2017 at TRU Hospice of Northern Colorado. He was born October 30, 1960 in Olton, Texas to Tomas and Mary Vasquez. Norman was raised in Uvalde, Texas where he completed his education. In June 1975, he moved with his family to Greeley.
He worked as an Electrician Apprentice for Sturgeon Electric. He loved his Dallas Cowboys, listening to Tejano Music and beating his family at cards! His greatest joy was his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.
Norman is survived by a daughter Crystal Vasquez (Roberto Martinez); four sons Jason Martinez, Norman Lee Jr., Steven Vasquez (Cece), Derek Vasquez (Stefanie); four sisters Priscilla Vasquez-Groh (Mark), Fay Tapia (Ruben), Drusilla Santos (Manuel), Norma Rodriguez (Manuel); five brothers Tommy Vasquez, Roland Vasquez, Gilbert Vasquez, Jesse Vasquez and Simon Vasquez; 12 grandchildren Zayne, Xavier, Savannah, Zoie, Mateo, Asha, Iyanna, Steven Jr., Isaiah, Eli, Brooklyn, Laila and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded by his grandmother Maria P. Vasquez, brother Orlando Vasquez and a grandson Amadeo Vasquez.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 10, 2017 followed by the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m., both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
