Pauline Hamilton, of Greeley, died April 1, 2011 at her home. She was born November 8, 1919 in New Boston, Indiana to Joseph Boehm and Margaret (Wink) Boehm. Pauline was raised and educated in Owensboro, Kentucky. She married William Patrick Hamilton on July 22, 1939 at Saint Josephs Catholic Church in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Pauline worked for Glenmore Distillery in Owensboro and then for General Electric Company until 1957. In 1968 she moved to Miles, Montana and then to Greeley in 1970. She worked as a cook at John Evans Junior High School for 14 years retiring in 1984. Pauline was a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. She loved working in her yard with her flowers, loved to quilt and crochet. She loved her Sunday drives with her husband to the mountains, and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow and play.
Pauline is survived by her daughters Barbara Horn of Owensboro, Kentucky and Karen Hamilton and husband Terry Halvorson of Battlement Mesa, Colorado; sons Joseph Hamilton and wife Rose of Avon, Florida, Mike Hamilton and wife Nina and Steven Hamilton all of Greeley, Colorado; sisters Helen Guenther of Louisville, Kentucky, Cornelia Moseley, Agnes Moseley and Lucille Rose all of Owensboro, Kentucky; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Patrick Hamilton, son David Lee Hamilton, grandson Eric Hamilton, parents, brothers James, Clarence and Eugene Boehm, son-in-law Louie Horn and great grandson Jonathan Dale.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at Stoddard Funeral Home, followed by Recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
