

Richard Eugene Bush, 87, of Norco, California, went to be with the Lord Sunday, July 13, 2014. Richard was born on September 2, 1926 in Los Angeles, California to Joachum George and Threlo (Bell) Bush.
Richard grew up in the Los Angeles area, where he attended school. He enlisted in the US Army on December 3, 1944, serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He served as a Rifleman and later as a Dental Lab Technician. He had transferred to the US Army Air Corps (US Air Force), where he developed his love of flying. He was honorably discharged on April 8, 1949. After his discharge, he returned to Los Angeles. On June 3, 1950, he married Francine Mitchell. The family later moved to Lake Tahoe, Ca. where he helped build the Heavenly Valley chair ski-lift. They eventually moved to Norco, Ca. were Francine passed away on May 25, 1998.
He was a machinist most of his life and loved to make and build many things. Richard was a licensed pilot. He built his own glider and loved the sport. He received his 1st Lennie Wave Pin for Altitude from the Symons Wave Memorial.
He retired and pursued many interests, including love of the outdoors, hiking and taking motorcycle trips across the United States with his wife. He was a member of the Orange County Soaring Association, the Desert Vipers Motorcycle Club and the Radio Control Club, which included model airplanes, boats and helicopters.
Richard is survived by his daughter, Joanne Davidson (Dan) of Loveland; brother, J.G. “Joe” Bush, Jr. (Arlyne) of Burbank, California; three grandchildren, Dan E. Davidson (Jaime) of Denver, Amy J. Davidson of Loveland and Scott M. Davidson (Stefanie) of Loveland; five great-grandchildren, Garrett Jean of Loveland and Isaac Davidson of Denver and Sophia Davidson, Josiah Davidson and Evan Davidson all of Loveland; three nieces and six nephews.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Elnor Turk.
