

Richard (“Rick”) James Dieterle, 70, was born in Greeley, Colorado on January 10, 1949 to Henry and Catherine (Monheiser) Dieterle. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Rick was surrounded by his friends and family when he went to be with his Lord on Sunday, February 24, 2019.
He graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1968 and entered military service with the U.S. Army immediately after graduation. He was honorably discharged on April 5, 1970 with the rank of Private. Rick then returned to Greeley and joined the family business, Dieterle Masonry, as a brick mason, which was his primary occupation until his retirement.
Rick was a special man with many interests, including hunting, fishing, Corvettes, leatherwork, and was an avid Denver Bronco fan. He was all heart and will be greatly missed by everyone.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ted Dieterle, and nephew Donnie Heinze.
Rick is survived by his wife, Anne, brother Steve Dieterle, and sisters Geraldine Heinze, Kathy Sue Trumblee, and Joan (Mike) Kelly. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews; Tammy, Cheryl, Mike, Chad, Stacy, Murry, Eric, Aaron, Sarah, as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews, and many friends.
Rick’s beloved black Labrador retriever, Jack, has been his constant companion since 2005, also mourns for his master. During the final months of his life, several persons assisted in his care, and the family extends a heartfelt thank you.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., followed by a Liturgical service at 12:00 p.m., both being held at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
