

Richard began his lifetime career at a very young age as an IBEW electrical lineman, retiring in 1989. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, spending time in his garage repairing small engines and pursuing bargains.
Richard is survived by sons, Raymond and Richard Jr.; daughter, Jeanette (Randy) Van Galder; sisters, Hazel Lucille Williams; Ruth (Roger) DeBuhr and Jacqueline (Gary) Pohren; grand children, Anthony Garrison, Rachel Salazar and Kevin (Erin) Van Galder; five great-grand children; loving in-laws; nieces; nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Veronica Garrison; sisters, Bertha Williams, Josephine Jennings, Sarah Elizabeth Starkey; and four brothers, Robert, Eugene, Raymond and Lester.
The family wishes to thank all of their family members and friends for their love and support during Richard’s illness. They also wish to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Hospice of Northern Colorado and Grace Pointe for their care and compassion.
No services are scheduled. Cremation has taken place. Allnutt Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
