Richard D. Guzman

Richard graduated from Highland High School in 1985. He held various jobs but was most recently a welder with Metal Solutions in Ault. He entered the Airforce in 1985 and was honorably discharged.

Richard was an avid Bronco fan, enjoyed playing pool and poker, going to Blackhawk, fishing and singing. He was a member of the Ault VFW, Post 334. His favorite saying was “If you have a problem, if someone hurts you….walk it off!” He was a simple man, loving dad and a great son.

He is survived by his parents, Ray and Vangie Guzman, Ault, CO; daughter Michelle, Houston, TX; brothers Steve, Fred, Jerry (Jane), and Pete Valdez, all of Greeley, CO; sisters Debbie (Gerardo) Rivera and Lorraine Valdez, Platteville, CO, Marina (Diego) Gallegos, Denver, CO, and Marilyn Valdez, Greeley, CO; as well as several nieces and nephews; and best friends Ben Mestas and Tim Florez, both of Ault, CO.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents.

Visitation 5:00-7:00 P.M. with a rosary starting at 7:00 P.M. Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. with viewing 1 hour prior to the service Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at St. Mary’s Mission Church Ault, CO. Interment at Eaton Cemetery.
