Richard "Rich" Huff

Rich attended school in Iowa, until his family moved to the Ault area, where he attended high school. In 1972, he married Mary McNamara in Glenwood Springs. He was a member of Adamson-Wormuth Post 6624, VFW.

Rich served in the US Army for over five years and was overseas for over two years. He was honorably discharged on September 5, 1963. He had attained the rank of SP4. Rich operated heavy equipment and drove trucks while in the Army. After his discharge, he drove for many companies. He later started Huff Trucking, which he started and was joined by his brother, Don.

Rich enjoyed racing late model stock cars throughout Colorado. He loved collecting old cars, all of which were in excellent condition. Rich also enjoyed fishing with his family.

Rich is survived by his daughter, Deneanne Johnson (John) of Greeley; step-daughter, Loretta Thomas of Lake Mills, Wisconsin; son, Donald E. Huff of Greeley; sister, Gloria Huff of Greeley; brothers, Jimmy Huff (Shirley) of Greeley and Terry Huff of Loveland; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, a son, Douglas Scott Huff and two brothers, Chuck and Don Huff.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
