

Bob was born May 10, 1950 to Alex and Marjorie Lane in Havre, Montana. Bob grew up in the Loveland, Greeley area and attended Greeley Central High School. Bob was drafted into the Army in 1970 and served a two year tour in Korea. His return from the Army lead him to life of working as a cowboy at the area feed lots. He had a love for cattle and horses and lived to rope and ride. His motto was to “Whip, lash and hooray”!
Bob retired from Weld County Road and Bridge in May 2016, where he loved to run the heavy equipment.
He grew up in a family of seven boys and what one didn’t think of the other six boys did. Bob had a strong belief that your handshake was your word. Bob was a hard working family man. He raised a son and step daughter.
Bob is survived by his wife, Roberta Lane, stepdaughter, Brittany (Phillip) Bishop, granddaughter, Justyce Fredrickson and grandson, Bentley Bishop. “His granddaughter, Justyce held his heart.” His brothers, Ernie (Candy) Lane of Torrington WY, Jim (Kathy) Lane of Reno, NV, Richard Lane of Loveland, CO and Randy (Carol) Lane of La Salle, CO, as well as numerous nieces and nephews
Bob is proceeded in death by his parents, stepdad, Russell Holloway, brothers, Bill Lane and Alvin Lane, his son, Tyler Lane and daughter-in-law, Amy Lane. Bob will be missed by his many friends and family.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled in the spring of 2022.
