Roger C. Keaton

Roger was raised and educated in Ieager. He served in the United States Air Force. When he met Donna Lee Wilson at Sam’s Steak House, they were destined to marry four months later, on April 13, 1957 in Greeley. He was a member of the Evans VFW Post 6624, American Legion Post 363 in Rockport, TX. Roger worked in the electrical field and retired in 1990.

Roger spent the winters in Rockport, TX and the summer months in Greeley. He enjoyed the ocean. He enjoyed deep-sea fishing, hunting and loved spending time outdoors. He was a “social butterfly”, hard worker and taught his family to use common sense. He raised game birds and livestock on the farm.

Roger is survived by his sons Greg Keaton of Coppell, TX and Roger C. Keaton II (Eva) of Greeley; sisters Barbara Johnson and Terri Browning; brothers Ronnie Keaton and Micky Keaton; grandchildren Madison, Jeremy, Jackie and Ryan and great grandson Gavin. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Donna Lee, daughter Debbie Wittman and two brothers, Doyle and Jimmy.
