AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Ronnie Jacob Asmus

8 février 1940 – 12 décembre 2024
Avis de décès de Ronnie Jacob Asmus
AUX SOINS DE

Allnutt Funeral & Cremation - Macy

Jacob Ronald (Ronnie) Asmus, 84, of Greeley passed away peacefully at his home on December 12, 2024, surrounded by his family.

He was born February 8, 1940, in Hillrose, Colorado to his loving parents Jacob Asmus and Marie (Weimer) Asmus. From a young age, he was known for his quick wit and straightforward personality, traits which remained with him throughout his life. He graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1959.

In 1963 he proudly joined the Air National Guard and attended drills in Denver, where he met the love of his life, Sandra DeLaune. They were married in 1964 in Prairieville, Louisiana during an unforgettable category four hurricane, Hilda. The couple joyfully celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past October.

In 1967, seeking a change, the small family moved to Greeley, where he began selling commercial fertilizer equipment from the trunk of his car. Over the years, his business expanded and eventually, he founded Central Inc. in Evans. His success was not built with extensive advertising, but rather on intentionally strong lasting relationships he cultivated with his customers and suppliers, primarily farmers, ranchers, grain elevators, and cattle feeders.

His dedication to the agricultural industry in northern Colorado spanned more than 50 years, culminating with his retirement in 2014. He was a proud member of the Rocky Mountain Agribusiness Association and deeply valued the connections he made throughout his career. He also enjoyed being an active member of the Greeley & Eaton Country Clubs and Greeley Elks Lodge, where he nurtured many friendships.

In retirement, he cherished time with his family. He enjoyed having lunches with friends and looked forward to his Friday morning coffee group.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he was known for his kindness, love, and unwavering loyalty. In his final hours, he expressed his deep love for his family. He was a trustworthy man with an honest heart, always giving and deeply loved by all around him.

Ronnie is survived by his wife Sandra of Greeley, daughters Rhonda Dudley (Bill) of Longmont, and Sydney Hageseth (Mike Rice) of Windsor; grandchildren Patrick West, Taylor Dudley (Raquel Graef), Tucker (Hannah) Dudley, Hannah Hageseth, Hadley Hageseth, and Harper Hageseth; and numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, and brother as well as many friends and relatives.

A service will be held December 21, 2024 at 11:00 am at Allnutt Macy Chapel, 6521 W 20th St., Greeley. Luncheon reception to follow at Allnutt Macy.
