

Ross began his unforgettable life on Sept 6, 1945 in Hayes Center, NE. He was born to Sarah Francis Dino Peters and Ross Louis Peters Sr. along with his two older sisters, Mary Katherine and Rose Marie. Ross was reborn in baptism at Calvery Temple in his 30’s. He attended Jr. College in McCook, NE and joined the Army Reserves with his best friend Jerry Potter. While serving he met Michelle Lee Aukerman and they were married on May 3rd 1969. They attended Kearney State College together and then headed to Colorado to raise a family. They were blessed with three children, Susan Michelle, Jayme Nicole and Ross William. He became a quality control manager at Electron Corp and worked there for many years. Together the family enjoyed church and pasta Sundays, camping, boating, horses, mountain man rendezvous, black powder shooting, road trips, their many many pets and a good laugh in front of the TV. The family was dedicated to each child’s individual sports or activities. Ross was a loving and devoted Father and Husband.
In his 50’s he met Janet Marie Meyer and they were married on December 21, 2001. Along with his new wife he gained two wonderful stepchildren. His life was full of adventure. Together he and Jan loved playing hiking in the mountains, long walks, playing golf, riding bikes, movies, attending concerts and Theatre. Ross always encouraged trying new restaurants because he thoroughly enjoyed a great meal, especially dessert. They were fortunate enough to travel to unforgettable places such as, Ireland, Belize, Mexico, Hawaii and his favorite Italy. They also enjoyed a Caribbean cruise with their favorite bands and close friends and family.
He was known in his community for giving of himself and his time. He loved to serve meals to the homeless at the Front Porch Ministries and would never turn away a pet in need. His love for his animals was heartwarming. Ross and Jan attended church, bible studies, retreats and enjoyed playing cards with their church friends. He was by far the most loving and selfless Father any child could ask for. He was proud and always supportive of their achievements. He was blessed with 10 grandchildren whom he adored and tried his best to attend activities and spend time with them.
Ross was wrapped in the Father’s arms and taken to live in the house of the Lord on Monday November 7, 2016. He will be DEARLY missed by his loving family who await the day they are united with him. He was preceded in death by his Father Ross Peters, Mother Sarah Peters, Nephew Adrian Ponzi and Brother in-law Ray Elder. Left, his beautiful legacy in love are: Wife Janet Peters, Daughter and significant other Susan Jacobson and Brian Fine, Daughter and spouse Jayme and Cassidy Moss, Son and spouse Ross and Kelly Peters; Sisters, Rose Bolden and Kathy Elder: Step Children and spouses: Michelle and RJ Gelinas, Michael and Jessica Mathiesen; Grandchildren: Haden, Alek, Hunter, Adam, Logan, Karsen, Ronnie, Piper, Katrina, Tristan, Jayda and Justus.
