Roy Battelo, 58, of Mineral Wells, Texas, died Thursday, June 27, 2013 at home. He was born October 6, 1954 in Greeley to Walter and Amanda (Hernandez) Battelo. Roy lived in Greeley till 1982 and then moved to Mineral Wells where he met Lydia Reyes and together had five children. Later he met and married Linda Stahr on December 28, 1992. Roy loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Survivors are his wife, Linda Battelo, three daughters, Amy, Letitia and Amanda; a son, Victor; two step-daughters, Danielle and Nicki; four grandchildren, four sisters, Betty Ortiz of Kersey, Orlensa Saldivar, Beatrice Chavez and Anita Lozoya all of Greeley; two brothers, Ernest Battelo of Milliken and Adam Batello of Greeley and 15 nephews. Roy’s parents, a daughter, a sister and a brother are deceased.
Visitation 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Stoddard Funeral Home. Graveside service 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Mizpah Cemetery, Platteville.
