Shaun Burton Devoe

He was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and friend, whose impact on those around him will never be forgotten.

Shaun was the cherished son of Bob and Loretta, and he was raised in a family that instilled in him the values of hard work and dedication. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Loretta Holt (Kissier); stepfather, Ken Holt; brother, Jodi Devoe; granddaughter Jordyn Hansen; and his biological father, Art Dollard. Shaun leaves behind a loving family that includes his father, Robert Devoe; stepmother, Ella Mae Devoe; and the mother of his children, Shawn Marie. He is survived by his siblings: sister Shanie, brother Bud, and sister Joanna, along with his children: Jeff, Krysta, Kassidy, Kari and Josh. Shaun was also a grandfather to Steven, Wyatt, Sophia and Presleigh, and he had many nieces and nephews who adored him: Shaley, Noah, Olivia, Evelyn, Nicholas, John, Levi, and Reese, along with his great nephew and niece, Ryker and Gianna.

Shaun graduated from Midwest High School in 1987 and went to work in the family business, Devoe Contracting LLC, in Edgerton, Wyoming, where his father taught him the ins and outs of the company from a young age. Shaun later became co-owner of Devoe & Son Contracting LLC, in Kersey, Colorado, after his father retired. In this role, he not only continued the family legacy but also instilled a strong work ethic and passion for the business in his children, teaching them the value of hard work and dedication.

Shaun’s interests reflected his adventurous spirit. He had a passion for classic cars, flying, boating, trucks, and tractors – each hobby a testament to his love for life and its’ great adventure.

The impact of Shaun’s life will be celebrated on March 17, 2025, at 10:00 am during a funeral service held at the Kersey Community Church in Kersey, Colorado, immediately followed by a reception in the church hall. Family and friend are invited to gather in remembrance of a man who truly lived life to the fullest and left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.

In this time of sorrow, we take comfort in the memories we hold dear of Shaun – a pillar in the Devoe family whose love and laughter will echo in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, Shaun. You will be missed beyond words.
