Shirley Mae Martin

She was born October 4, 1943 in Denver, and soon after, was adopted by her Moma. Shirley lived a life of adventure in her younger years, from picking peaches in Palisade to arrow head hunting in Moab, where she started her own family. Shirley was very proud of her 3 children, her 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She retired from the school district in Arizona, and moved back home to Colorado to be closer to family. After discovering her extended cousins, they brought joy and a sense of belonging that she searched for, and much love was shared.

In the end, the only things that matter are family, friends who are family, and memories. February 6, 2024, Shirley left to be with her Moma in heaven. She was loved and will be missed.

Her loved ones are planning her last trip to Moab later in the spring, where she and her Moma can be free in the place they shard so many adventures.
