Walter J. Smith

Walter John Smith of Lochbuie, Colorado, born Wasladyslaw Neuhomowitz, 94, passed away Friday, May 22, 2020 in Westminster, Colorado at the home of Kathy Conway. He was born September 18, 1925 to Franc Neuhomowitz and Zophia Neuhomowitz in Majdan Stary, Poland.

Walter was married to Elsie Dorothea Jameson on February 29, 1988 in Northglenn, Colorado.

His favorite pastimes included fishing, dancing, watching television and gardening.

Walter is survived by his stepchildren, Jill K. Claycomb of Henderson, Colorado and Kathy J. Conway of Westminster, Colorado; and his son-in-law, Robert L. Claycomb of Henderson, Colorado. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grand Children, and 18 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Franc Neuhomowitz and Zophia Neuhomowitz; his wife Elsie Dorothea Jameson; his brother, Bruno Neuhomowitz; and stepson Jack L. Froggatte of Cheyenne, Wyoming.

He will be greatly missed.
