

Warren W. William, 87, of Fort Collins, passed away May 23, 2015. He was born in Portis, Kansas on April 6, 1928 to George and Sadie William. Warren graduated from St. George High School in 1946. Then he moved to Denver where he worked until he was drafted into the Army serving 1950-52. He returned to Denver to work for Montgomery Ward and it was there that he met his beloved wife Dorothy E. Haas. The two were wed on March 1, 1953.
Warren worked as a sales representative in uniform and linen sales. He was transferred to Fort Collins in 1967. He retired in 1996 after 33 years in the linen business. He was a dedicated member of the Fort Collins community; he served as a member of both Round Table International and Lion’s Club where he received several honors including the highest award, the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award. Warren was also a founding member of the Christ United Methodist Men’s Club, which was named after him in 2011.
Warren loved CSU basketball, Broncos games, and travelling with his wife Dorothy.
Warren is survived by his wife Dorothy, his two sons: Steve (Carla) and Doug (Wanda) William, four grandchildren: Amanda, Benjamin (Katie), Sarah, Christopher, and one great grandson: Dominic.
Warren was one of thirteen children. He is survived by brother Roger (Donna) William, and sisters Lena Harms, Betty Mallon, Rose Mathieu and Lois Gerry. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Francis, Raymond, Edgar, Willard, and Gerald William and sisters Pauline Dinger and Grace Preston.
Memorial Services will be Monday, June 1, 10:30 at Christ United Methodist Church. A luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall.
