Wayne Joseph Reiff passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025 at the age of 89, with family by his side. He was born in Lewellen Nebraska to Marvin and Hazel Reiff. After graduating high school in Oelrich SD, he moved to Greeley and began his home building career.
He married Betty Whittecar in 1957 and had a son Gerald and a daughter Jolene. After Betty's passing he married Mary Macy in 1964 and they had a daughter Marsha.
Wayne was a builder, the owner of Reiff Construction, which specialized in custom homes in Greeley for over 30 years.
Wayne was a builder of more than buildings. He was actively involved in the Nazarene churches in Greeley and, most recently, Fort Collins. He built deep friendships and faith through his ministry. The focus of his ministry was music and youth groups. In retirement, Wayne combined his love of the Lord and building skills when he and Mary volunteered for 18 summers at Golden Bell Camp in Divide Colorado. He helped the camp build and remodel facilities while also building lasting relationships with the staff. He enjoyed camping and hosting teen retreats in the mountains of Colorado. He and Mary took many trips in their travel trailer. Those trips often involved stops to help build a church along the way, volunteer at camp in Haines, AK or visit friends they made at Golden Bell.
He was involved with the Alzheimer's Association prior to Mary's passing.
Wayne’s legacy lives on through the many lives he touched with his love, patience, and unwavering commitment to his faith and family.
Wayne will be welcomed to his eternal home by his parents Marvin & Hazel, Betty, Mary, son-in-law Michael and many family and friends who have preceded him.
