Born November 8, 1930 in Eubank, KY, she was the daughter of Lee Oden and Ila Parker (Acton) Stites and was a graduate of Greencastle High School.
Barbara was a homemaker and with her husband of 65 years, Clifford A. Torr Jr had owned and operated Torr’s Restaurant for several years.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford; children, Ron (Diane) Torr, Terry (Toni) Torr, Rhonda (Mike) Steele, Shari Torr, Darlene Torr and Marlene (Terry) King; 13 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Bumgardner officiating. Interment will follow at the Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 3rd at the funeral home.
