Carolyne Eileen Sharp

Carolyne Eilene (Nelson) Sharp, 75, of Greencastle, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018. She was born December 30, 1942 in Greencastle, the daughter of Wayne and Freda (Cash) Nelson and had attended Greencastle High School. Carolyne had been employed at Huffy’s Bicycle manufacturing and drove a school bus in Celina, Ohio. She worked at Jackson’s Restaurant, food service at DePauw University, and as the breakfast and lunch cook for Pi Kappa Si Fraternity retiring after fifteen years. On October 10, 1987 she married Gerald “Bud” Sharp and he survives. She is also survived by her four children, Gary (Summer) Clark of GA, Troy Clark of GA, Rodney Clark of Terre Haute, and Connie Clark of Greencastle, a brother, Gerald (Bev) Nelson; two sisters, Sharon (Rex) Dunn and Diane (Gary) Osborn, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two great grandsons and a great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM on Saturday until time of service at the funeral home.
