Charlene Ann Nichols

Born September 27, 1939 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Charles and Eleanor (Vandergrift) Graf and was a graduate of Haddon Heights High School in New Jersey, “Class of 1957”

Survivors include her husband, Dallas W. Nichols; daughter, Patricia Page-Tyree & husband, Brian; stepchildren, Terry Nichols and wife, Kim, Debbie Prather and husband, Bruce, and Beth Baker and husband, Steve; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

.She was preceded in death by her parents.

Charlene served as the superintendent of the Greencastle Waste Water Treatment Plant for 29 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. She was very active with the Putnam County Fair having exhibited flowers and vegetables in Harris Hall for over 30 years. She was also active in 4H Horse and Pony and Dog shows.

Charlene was also a co-founder of the Humane Society of Putnam County.

.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Fillmore Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
