Cynthia "Cindy" Adamson

Cindy was born in Greencastle on April 26, 1958, the daughter of Richard and Mary (Taylor) Garl, and attended Greencastle Schools.

Mrs. Adamson enjoyed fishing, bingo, casinos, playing cards and drinking coffee. She also enjoyed diamond art. Most of all she loved her grandchildren, they were her world.

Survivors include her mother; her husband of 50 years, Richard Adamson; two children, Robert Adamson, and Cayla Allen, (Carl); four grandchildren, Lane Kortz, Kyra Summitt, Hunter Summitt, and Kensie Allen; a brother, John Garl, (Suzie); a sister, Brenda Ritchie, (David); several nieces and nephews and special friends she loved as her children, Heather and Matthew Smith and their daughter Dixie.

She was preceded in death by her father; a daughter, Yvette Adamson; and her father and mother-in-law, George and Marie Adamson.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with Pastor Mary Pridemore officiating. Bural will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, or one hour prior to time of service on Thursday.
