Dale Lee Cox

Born August 13, 1933 in Montgomery County, the son of Fred A. and Matilda (Cope) Cox and was a graduate of Bainbridge High School “Class of 1951”. He married Betty Imogene (McMahan) Cox on May 30, 1958 and she survives.

Dale had worked at IBM, retiring in 1987 and also farmed for several years. He was a member of the Somerset Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Betty “Jean” Cox; children, Cinda Davis of Greencastle, Kathy (Ronald) Tucker of Danville, Pamela (Dan) Rose of Independence, WI, Kimberly (Tony) Barker of Pittsboro, and Dale (Myra) Cox Jr. of Russellville; sisters, Sylvia, Pat, and Gail; nine grandchildren; two step grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Irene; and a brother, Charlie.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Union Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 16th at the funeral home.
